Carmel has more than twenty years in public accounting; her experience includes tax planning and compliance as well as audit and financial reporting services for privately held companies. Within the category of taxation, she works with both individuals and multi-tier partnership/LLC entities in tasks such as consulting, real estate tax planning, minimization strategies, creating optimal structures, and general business planning.

Carmel graduated from National University-San Diego with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.

Carmel enjoys reading, sports, working in the garden and spending time with her family.

Nicolas K. Waldenmayer, CPA, MBA, MBT
Tax Manager

Nic Waldenmayer specializes in tax consulting, tax compliance and general business consulting services for closely held retailers, manufacturers, distributors and service businesses, including multi-state S and C corporations. His experience also includes tax planning for high-net-worth individuals, California Enterprise Zone tax credit maximization, and tax compliance for commercial real estate leasing limited liability companies.

Prior to joining Glenn M. Gelman & Associates, Nic was a tax manager for a large local public accounting firm headquartered in West Los Angeles.  He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of California and is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA), and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Nic is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Masters of Business Administration in Finance.  Additionally, Nic graduated from the University of Southern California with his Masters of Business Taxation in 2009.  He served as both the Treasurer and Director of Finance on the Long Beach Junior Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
